Jazzercise came to the UK over 25 years ago, and is growing quickly with a network of over 200 qualified instructors. Jazzercise classes were founded in Newmarket by Angie Genow in the early 1990's. This is where Sarah Gray who has a background in ballet, ballroom dancing and gymastics first experienced Jazzercise, after attending various aerobic classes in and around the area came along to the first Jazzercise class in Newmarket and fell in love with this exercise phenomen - she was hooked. After six months of training Sarah certified as a Jazzercise instructor in May 2006 in Birmingham and after teaching for two years all over the country and in the US Sarah now owns and co-ordinates the classes , she initially introduced in 1997 the Saturday morning Burwell class, 2005 Jazzercise came to Mildenhall, 2007 a Saturday morning class in Red Lodge was added to our growing schedule along with a Tuesday night in Burwell and then in 2009 Jazzercise came to Soham and finally our latest addition in 2010 - Thetford classes were born- offering Jazzercise to a wider audience in this area.
We have a fantastic team if Jazzercise instructors teaching with over 30 years of experience - Anita McCallum (Burwell & Newmarket), Sarah Goddard (Thetford), Donna Sutton (Burwell & Newmarket), Laura Jones (Soham), Rebecca Button (Mildenhall & Red Lodge) and Sophie Pitman (currently in the US)
